Cheyenne Police Investigate Attempted ATM Theft

Cheyenne Police are asking for the public’s assistance in their investigation of an attempted ATM theft.

Public Information Officer Alex Farkas said police were called around 2 a.m. on Friday, June 25 to report someone was trying to rob an ATM at the Bank of the Platte Valley at 421 avenue Vandehei.

“At the scene, officers found a 2004 blue Ford F250 truck with an ATM that had been removed from its original location,” Farkas said in a press release.

“Officers believe the abandoned vehicle was stolen from a nearby residence hours before the incident at the bank,” she added.

Farkas says no arrests have been made yet.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Detective Office at (307) 637-6521 or the Federal Bureau of Investigation at (303) 629-7171.
